The iconic image of Bond as tall, dark, and handsome is burned into the public's consciousness. Craig's two films have done little to change that perception.

Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible

If Craig left during the hiatus it would be fascinating to see who they cast next. Another grunge Bond or a more traditional type?

What about retiring the franchise at least temporary?

What about retiring the franchise at least temporary? They've already done that in a sense!

If you want the next Bond to look like DC, here's the guy perfect for the job:

It's important for Barbara Broccoli to keep moving away from that Ian Fleming author. That's so old, it's stuff from old colonialism that is out-dated, including that kind of Bond in the books. If Daniel won't be back for the next film, then they should continue casting his type. I don't even mind seeing a red-haired actor. that tall, dark, matinee actor style for Bond is cliche now and marginalizes other types of men. Let's have diversity and not exclude others. I hope Barbara Broccoli keeps things politically correct and just levels the playing field for all. what on earth are you on about ? marginalizing other types of men ? what utter rubbish ! Do you have a vendetta against men that are considered to be good looking ? I get the impression you do. As for the moving away from the Ian Fleming author bloke - even your hero/idol Dan Craig would say you need your head examined !

There are many Craig fans who insist he is very close to the Bond in the Fleming novels. I'm not sure I agree as Bond was tall and handsome with black hair living in the 50s/60s, a world away from the modern Bourne Bond played in a thuggish fashion by short sandy haired Craig. I agree with alvin that Eon have moved away from the books.

Ponytail really?
I think they'll go with someone like Roger Moore who developed a career though out Sean Connery's Bond.
So the next Bond is prob making a name for himself now and could be older then DC when they take over, just like RM but I don't think they'll try that again
maybe in 10 years that Harry Potter kid will be the next Bond

maybe in 10 years that Harry Potter kid will be the next Bond The problem with Daniel Radcliffe is that he's too well established, not to mentioned his short height. Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom) is more appropriate as Bond than him. He may seem goofy, but you can't judge him through that.

I do not think the next actor will look like Daniel Craig as he has a rather "unique" look.
