[Craig] read all the novel, he understand the literally character, and he try not to imitate any actor's approach before him. I saw a Craig interview on TV when CR was just about to be released, and Craig said he gave up reading the Fleming books. He looked at one or two, but didn't like them and felt he didn't need to read them. Actually Brosnan did read the Fleming novels. I've got a number of magazine articles from publications like Cinescape. These articles were published during the 90s. In one article, Brosnan states he had to look at the Fleming books. Even as far back as 1986 when he was about to get the role, he bought all the books. In 1994, during the press junket for his official casting, he said (and this is a a quote from Cinescape): "I think the element of danger would have to be brought back. I think you'd have to go right back to the beginning and find what Ian Fleming put on paper." Well, I disagree completely. Brosnan's not my favorite Bond (I'm a Connery fan and always will be). But Brosnan's approach is sincere and I've read all the Fleming books and can see elements of the literary character in Brosnan's style. In my view, Craig is so metrosexual and too PC. He's so off-based with th character that he actually agreed to ridicule the character by dressing in drag for that weird promo video. caribbeanjack...you should post here more often.

If Bond is the only thing we worry about in the world of entertainment, then think again. I've read some news articles that Batman will be reboot again after the next one to make it connected to Justice League live-action.

Time to send in a FAR ugly DC clone as Bond, and his name is Carrot Top.

Looks like we may as well go for Carrot Top if DC's Bond 23 proves to be popular. Otherwise, Bond 23 has and needs to FAIL.

Sony to distribute next two James Bond films Share retweet EmailPrint..– Wed Apr 13, 8:33 pm ET LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – The next two films in MGM's stalled James Bond franchise will be co-financed and distributed by Sony Pictures, the studios said on Wednesday. The first one, with a working title of "Bond 23," is set for worldwide release on November 9, 2012. With Daniel Craig playing 007 for a third time, it will mark the first Bond film since 2008's "Quantum of Solace." As for "Bond 24," the studios said in a statement they "look forward" to partnering on the film on a similar basis. Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer is emerging from bankruptcy and is now a leaner operation run by Hollywood producers Roger Birnbaum and Gary Barber. Its financial woes cast doubt on the viability of the storied Bond franchise, which has reliably been churning out spy sagas since 1962. Sony and MGM previously partnered on "Quantum of Solace" and Craig's 2006 Bond debut "Casino Royale." Together the films grossed almost $1.2 billion at the worldwide box office. MGM's new management reportedly negotiated a distribution pacts with other studios, including Viacom Inc's Paramount Pictures, but talks stalled on financials. A Sony spokesman declined to detail the terms of its arrangement "other than to say we feel the agreement is one that is beneficial to all." As part of the Bond deal, Sony and MGM will "explore co-financing opportunities on future motion pictures produced by each of the respective studios for the next five years," according to a statement. That component favors MGM, which has little in the production pipeline and is eager to get involved with existing projects to boost its cash flow. MGM has no releases scheduled for 2011. It recently announced it would co-finance Paramount's "Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters," a $60 million 3D film set for release in March 2012. The Sony spokesman declined to confirm any titles on which they might work together. Sony Pictures is a unit of Sony Corp. It looks like they might release a film at last. If so, then it's not good on our side.

I wish Eon would return to the Gavin type actor soon. If DC's next Bond is successful, send in Carrot Top as Bond once DC retires.

But still, I prefer Henry over Ben since he was one of the contenders back in '05.

Another actor that springs to mind but appears to be neglected is Ben Barnes. I think he would make a good Bond. 6'1'' and born in the '80s.....not to mention dark hair. Why didn't I think of that? Bond would definitely drop his Narnian image.

Bond films in the '80s tend to be realistic mostly due to the Cold War elements.

And if Bond 23 is successful, Bond 24 should star Jerry Sadowitz as Bond.

Not many Bonds are campy, especially some of Rog's films.
