I'm not sure Clive really wanted to do it but he never ruled himself out completely either. He was quite cagey about the speculation.

Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible

He'd have made a lot more films. Eon seemed to be busier in those days.

I'm now convinced that Daniel Craig was cast because Barbara Broccoli did a long casting but there was something missing in all those contenders. But then she found the secret element in Daniel. He has mythic qualities that would move the world. That's why CR and QOS are big hits.

Maybe she saw DC in 'The Mother', 'Sylvia' or 'Archangel' and then forgot about everyone else.

Sylvia is an astonishingly boring film and I didn't buy DC as the lantern jawed Ted Hughes. I haven't seen the others.

I was jesting in my previous post. 'The Mother' is extremly dull and 'Archangel' was a T.V. seris which no one took any notice of.

'Archangel' was a T.V. seris which no one took any notice of. The poster would make a lovely desktop though. ;D DC did have a bits and pieces type career prior to Bond (and he still does out of it). I wonder sometimes what sort of stuff he'll do or get offered when he's no longer the recipient of all that promotional guff from Eon & Sony.

We should put on a Daniel Craig film festival. Or maybe not.

We should put on a Daniel Craig film festival. Kadov does this every year. Just give him a PM for the venue.
