Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible

Owen had a tongue in cheek cameo as '006' in the first Pink Panther film with Steve Martin.

Hey alvin, what do you think if Daniel Craig plays Michael Jackson in the MJ biopic? Daniel Craig is a versatile actor and I believe he can handle any role. You know in my English class we're studying some Shakespeare plays and the professor said that actors used to wear black makeup to play Othello. That's how I see Daniel playing Michael Jackson, in a more classical style because Daniel also has a stage background. But you know, I haven't heard this rumor. But then I'm not a Michael Jackson fan, he's from another era and not for my generation. I mean, I know who he is because he's famous but I don't dig his music.

I wonder if alvin is looking forward to the Tintin film. Hi, sorry for not responding sooner but I was away for the long weekend. I've heard some news about this movie. It's unbelievable that Steven Spielberg has sought Daniel Craig to be a part of this film. Spielberg must have really had a great experience with Daniel on making Munich. Now it's almost like Steven Spielberg realized he couldn't make Tintin without Daniel. This is going to be an incredible film.

I'm still blown away that a screenwriter and playwright like Peter Morgan will work on the next Bond film. This is unbelievable. I mean, the other night I saw a scene from one of those costume dramas on PBS, I think it was a Jane Austen story or something and I realized that Bond 23 will be that intellectual. So it won't surprise me if it doesn't do all that well at the box office initially but then people will realize the new style of the series, then they'll be motivated to see it and this will guarantee a box office hit. That's quite a bit of assumptions there, pal. But you don't have squat to back up anything you're asserting. What makes you think that a guy like this Morgan character will guarantee what you call an "intellectual" Bond film? The guy's in it for the cash and he's dictated by whatever the loons over at Eon demand. Besides, Eon brought in Paul Haggis in the last two, and he's one of those so-called esteemed screenwriters; but we know what a hack he turned out to be--especially with QOS, they had a troubled script development, and he had other loony ideas that Eon rejected. There's an article that explores all of this, but I can't remember where I read it. You don't think that Peter Morgan writes arty stuff? He'll do to Bond 23 what he did to movies like The Queen and The Last King of Scotland. You also have to remember that Daniel Craig has a lot of input these days. He had a hand in the script for QOS, so that's why it had a arty feeling like those European films. It takes time to appreciate QOS but I believe people will realize it's a great film. Then when you factor in Daniel Craig's take on the modern man through his version of Bond, the whole thing just becomes incredible to think about. He's just been too inspirational and now he's working with Peter Morgan. This is just unbelievable. Again, more bland assumptions. Where are the stats that prove Craig has been inspirational? And who exactly finds him inspirational? Apart from you and the bigot linguist (who is obviously thick-faced because he's actually back at this forum), I don't see any other man walking around, eager to pursue the metrosexual dreams that you find in whatever the heck Craig is doing with the Bond character. I think that's what you're getting at here. You found a way to insert your urges to come out of the closet and you're projecting it onto Craig, "the modern man," as Bond. Dawg, I sense your struggle. My god son struggled for many years, and it was heartbreaking for his family, for me and my wife, to see him in pain. We all knew his real self. But one day he had the courage to face himself, and we're proud of him, and he's so much happier. You need to do the same, including your cronies. If you all find Craig's soft side and his metrosexual persona inspiring, then so be it. But don't go around fabricating stuff about the series to fit your struggles. i'll have you know I'm not gay. I don't know if Chuck is gay but I can tell you my friends are not gay. All I'm saying is that Daniel Craig's Bond reaches every man. Barbara Broccoli reinvented the character for today's audience which has more sophisticated sensibilities. My professor said that it was brilliant casting for Daniel, and the new James Bond they created isn't bound to old dead ideologies from the sixties. You can't go excluding other audience members, so Barbara Broccoli made Daniel's Bond more sensitive and you can see the result, CR and QOS were box office hits. Daniel's Bond showed every man that it's okay to be sensitive and show a soft side. That appealed to feminists, and my gay classmates said that it's great the new James Bond is more gay-friendly and that the new series is more open-minded. They complimented how QOS had gay characters like the way in Mamma Mia one of the characters turned out to be gay. They don't feel excluded, and now the Bond series is for everyone. So you see, you have to look at it from a big perspective. That's what I mean when I said in the past that Daniel Craig's Bond transcends everything and has become modern mythology. I confident that Peter Morgan will continue where Paul Haggis left off and he'll write Daniel's Bond with more of this characterization, and people will be deeply moved.

I hope Morgan is a lot better at moments of levity and humour than Haggis I have to say.
