Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)

It would been better if Halle Berry's hair is longer.

Alec, I agree that you could have written a better action sequence for the para surfing section in Die Another Day. It annoyed me when Michael Wilson said they had run out of ideas. That's impossible! How many fans, writers and others who love the James Bond character are there who have lots of ideas! Adam - I liked the sword fighting bit. It was probably tacked on, but it was fun. FormerBond Fan - Halle looked great with short hair - Kenny G should try it!

Dump the CGi and the plane sequence at the end with Toby Stephens in a Robocop suit. The script could have done with a couple more drafts as well.

Instead of a Robocop suit, what about a supercomputer that controls Icarus?

I actually consider TND to be Brosnan's weakest Bond film. How you would make TND better, Skywalker? Good QuestionFirstly Johnathan Price would be gone. - really dislike him not the character Elliot Carver. As for the film, I'd not change that much with the story as it flows quite well, but I've aways felt that TND is the TMWTGG for PB. It seems to me that he's unsure how to play the role. He nailed an impressive debut and he seemed perfect for the part in TWINE and DAD, yet he didn't seem to be at ease with the part in TND.

Pierce said that he didn't like the script.

I always felt like this extended to EON as well. They had tremendous success updating Bond with GE, and then didn't really seem to know which direction to go in. During promotion for TND, they repeatedly tried to emphasize that this was Bond for a new era. Yet in many ways, it seemed like the most by-the-numbers film they had made in years.

Strange decision when GE was marked up the same way and was a tremendous success. I agree that TND does not stand out and does have a 'by-the-numbers' feel to it.

I think Die Another Day would have been improved by having different people make the film.

I think Die Another Day would have been improved by having different people make the film. Cubby would have made DAD better if he's still around.

DAD was never dull and was entertaining enough. Loads of big budget action. Good to see 'Q' and 'Moneypenny' (hopefully not for the last time) & Pierce was still great. Loved it when Bond walked into the hotel in his pyjamas. However things seemed to go downhill from there. Improvements could have been making the story a bit easier to follow. I've seen the film more than once and still get lost. However that is nothing new for a Bond film. The sword fight with Graves was a bit pointless. They could have cut that out and developed the story. The story and action could have been been more realistic, keeping with the tone of the first half an hour. The action was decent enough, apart from the poor CGI during Pierce surf's to safty. Halle Berry was a bit pointless. Bond could have done the job without her help. The film could have focused more on Bond and his revenge and cut the scenes between Bond and 'Jinx'. That's a good analysis. I think people forget that the film was supposed to a celebration to mark forty years of Bond. There are numerous flaws but it got decent reviews when it came out even from fickle places that have since turned on Brosnan.

I think Die Another Day would have been improved by having different people make the film. I agree with myself on this one. I also think Bond should have had the ability to make himself invisible in the film...except for his socks.
