Yeah, there's an exciting spy thriller for you: have Bond sit down with the villain and have tea. I have a feeling we may have been headed for this kind of excitment, once they hired the guy behind Frost/Nixon as screenwriter.

I have a feeling we may have been headed for this kind of excitment, once they hired the guy behind Frost/Nixon as screenwriter. It's odd how Eon keep wanting to experiment with Bond. If anyone could make a Bond film then there would have been a variety of different films - similar to all the Sherlock Holmes adaptions. We used to have a simlar series of films invented by Cubby, and the series was popular. First Eon had a person who looks nothing like Bond in an origin film. Then there was the QOS debacle. It's a good job that Eon are prevented from making another Bond at the monent or they will try something different again! What we need is a normal Bond film like GoldenEye or The Living Daylights, with a Bond who looks like Ian Fleming's Bond. That's not too much to ask is it!

Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible

Another Living Daylights would be great but I don't think they know how to make films like that anymore. I know he's about 70 now but it wouldn't surprise me if they tried to get Martin Campbell to do one more when Bond 23 is eventually given the green light.

At this point, Campbell returning for a third time would be a bigger deal than Craig returning for a third. If they do end up recasting the role, it would certainly be a great way to generate buzz. The headlines would write themselves: "The director behind GoldenEye and Casino Royale brings you the seventh 007..."

The headlines would write themselves: "The director behind GoldenEye and Casino Royale brings you the seventh 007..."I'd rather have either Lewis Gilbert or John Glen. Regardless of how anyone feels about their contributions to the franchise, one has to admit they made real James Bond films, plus they are both still alive! While on the subject, might as well make a few comments about Martin Campbell. Goldeneye had good pacing, and some excellent scenes. However, it also has one of the stupidest CGI effects in history involving James Bond on a motorcycle jumping off a cliff and gliding into an airplane that is several yards in front of him. Plus, Campbell was responsible for casting Judi Dench as M. I don't know about the rest of you, but I don't think she has added to the series. If anything her involvement as detracted from the series. Then there is Casino Royale. My goodness. In the opening we have Bond hopping around like Spiderman after consuming a Five Hour Energy drink, busting through walls like the Incredible Hulk, and the recasting of Judi Dench as M in what was supposed to be a reboot! Campbell, why did you make these decisions, or why didn't you put your foot down if and when some of these elements were suggested to you? Plus, the movie is 30 minutes too long, but that's if you are one who enjoys the film. The film from start to finish is too long for me. EON needs to clean house behind the scenes and recast the role of 007. No more Campbell, no more Forster, no more Purvis and Wade, no more Haggis. All the main positions in the production realm of the 007 films need to be replaced with new blood. I'd be fine with keeping Arnold as the composer. Of course no more Dench, and no more Craig!

How about NO MORE Bonds should be made? We don't need Bond for escapism. There are plenty of other franchise out there to escape to. Indiana Jones, Batman, Star Trek, Jason Bourne, Iron Man (along with other Marvel superheroes), Harry Potter, Narnia........you name them. Heck, don't even forget Godzilla, and a Big G reboot is on its way.

I would love a new creative team to have a go now. I'm bored of Purvis & Wade, Arnold and the rest of them. I'm also bored with the reboot. Each of the old Bond films used to try and be bigger and more fun than the previous one but they've given up on this.

Well I want many more Bond films. I don't like the current direction but you would hope one day new people would come in and restore Bond to what it used to be. I think the DC era (which may have ended already) will be looked back on as a brief reaction to the success of Jason Bourne and Jack Bauer.

How about just retire the series just temporary? I mean come on......there are plenty of franchises and other potential great films out there for escapism. Indiana Jones, Batman, Star Trek, Iron Man, Harry Potter, Narnia.......you name them. Out of these list, Star Trek will mostly to continue on. Once the others finished their turn on the big screen, other franchises will rise.

The new rebooted Bond franchise should end now and the old Cubby Broccoli Bond franchise should start again!
