Have you seen The Rocketeer, alessandra? Tim does a lot of humor in there. I have, and that's right, he does humor there and he's good at it! I did find his humor in Bond just fine anyway. Some of his lines in LTK are pretty damn funny. As are his expressions. Granted there should have been more of those but the script was just much darker than the average Bond... not his fault. When he had to do humor, he did just fine IMO. Brosnan was better at it because of the type of attitude he has, he's just a different actor. But that doesn't mean Dalton didn't do fine.

I love Dalton in Flash Gordon.

This is the part that interests me the most ;D This person clearly isn't against Craig, but they too think it's going to be Henry Cavill. And that's exactly one of my points... I know he is in good position to take over, and there are many people who are also Craig fans who would see him in the role (which I know is strange since he's the opposite of Craig but there ARE reasonable people out there). So, makes me glad to see someone who isn't posting on Bond forums still sees him as an adequate, and likely, successor ;D Uh, I don't agree with quite a few things about the rest. I don't think Casino Royale had the right amount of humor at all. It was extremely boring. I don't think Vesper or Camille had more depth than previous female leads, are you kidding? Camille is nothing compared to Pam Bouvier or even to Lupe in LTK. Vesper simply had a WAY bigger role than anyone else because she's the biggest girl in Fleming's novels, but I thought Eva Green didn't portray her well at all. And I didn't like how completely incompetent she was in the movie, despite all the efforts to make her seem "double faced". I do agree they need to have Bond girls that are older than those they cast with Craig. But that's only if Craig is the lead, since he looks 50 and it's really icky to see such a young girl with someone who is ANYWAY 42 and who looks way older than that. If someone else, and especially Henry Cavill, is in Bond 23 though, it all depends. 21 is anyway too young, I'd say no one younger than 25 should be cast as Bond girl, unless they are younger but look older. (which is not really likely, but, never know). Henry Cavill was considered to be too young by many fans in 2005. It is interesting to note that he has a growing number of fans amongst the Bond fan community now. He reminds me of Pierce Brosnan in the 1980's because he is such an obvious choice for a traditional Bond.

I think if Cavill got the part Craig would definitely get some retrospective flak for not 'looking' like Bond although for some fans this is clearly no big deal.

I prefer Bond to look like Bond myself. No reason why an actor can't look like Bond but still do his own thing, like Timothy Dalton.

Out of the people mentioned for Bond now I suppose Michael Fassbender would be considered the most interesting actor.

Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible

Not much chance of more levity with the team they've put in place for Bond 23.

Bond 23 has and needs to fail, especially here in the US.

It sounds like they'll be taking Bond quite seriously again. It's not an approach I care for too much. It's fine when they could make films like OHMSS and The Living Daylights but sadly those days are long gone.

With Brosnan they couldn't make up their mind if the films were serious or silly. Now it's gone too far in one direction.

John Logan isn't known for writing funny films so we can't expect anything that different from CR and QOS.
