John Logan isn't known for writing funny films so we can't expect anything that different from CR and QOS. I think it's gonna be yet another QoS, which just SUCKS. This dude is all about uber serious character development. Forget decent humor, there won't be any. I'm amazed at this frankly. The way they declare one thing and do the EXACT opposite is really amazing to me. "We want a more traditional Bond!" really? makes me think those who said that are the sane people there, who clearly aren't listened to. Good thing is, Babs's reign is soon coming to an end, thankfully. I have a bad feeling about this movie now, and I really hope I'm wrong. Sadly, I just can't see how it can be a decent Bond movie at all given the premises.

I'm glad Cubby isn't around to see what they are doing to his franchise.

Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible

But they'll market this film in a big way because it will be the first Bond for four years.

I'm glad Cubby isn't around to see what they are doing to his franchise. You and me both. It's just shameful. And yeah po-faced Bond entry is pretty much a given with this premise. You know what I realized yesterday? That Bond 23 is released Nov. 9 so it goes up against Henry Cavill's new big movie, "Immortals" which is going to be released on the 11th. So it shall be VERY interesting. Everyone is saying that movie is gonna be a really big one. I'm unsure they have the same public as Bond at all, but it shall be interesting to see how things go. If Cavill tops Craig's Bond two days after it's been released, well I will certainly have a big smile on my face. I don't think that's likely, but you never know.

It's like some nightmare that you never wake up from. Maybe one day someone will make a James Bond film again.

What is the point of a Bond film with Daniel Craig anyway. He'll just walk around doing that miserable face.

I watched a movie called Away We Go the other night. Sam Mendes directed it, and it's funny. I think he can bring a unique kind of humor in Bond 23 but it will be balanced with the drama. Mendes and John Logan have strong theater work and so the script will have awesome dialog in both humor and drama scenes.

Didn't Mendes win an Oscar? It seems strange that he's ended up making a Bond film.
