Not sure DC played it so tough in CR. Falling in love with deary Vesper and sitting in showers with his clothes on. He even resigned from MI5, all because of his love for Vesper.
Some of his dialogue in CR also made me cringe - 'Everything I have is now yours', 'That's because you don't know what my little finger can do'.
BRING BACK TOUGH MAN PIERCE.

I think it's time to put the claims that Brosnan can't play it tough to bed once and for all.
Everyone on this site knows Brosnan is perfectly able to play it tough when required. He's done it numerous times either before, during and after his Bond tenure.
Daniel Craig supporters try to justify his appointment by claiming he's the new tough Bond the world was waiting for & claim Brosnan could'nt play it tough. Let's face it, the Craig fans can't say Craig is the new tall, dark and handsome Bond the world was waiting for, can they ? !

The previous Bond actor seems to get dumped on whenever a new 007 is cast. When DC was cast no one could say with a straight face he was more handsome or looked more like Bond than Brosnan so, in order to prop up Craig, Brosnan became, retrospectively, a wimp, despite the fact he's a lot bigger and taller than DC. I have some problems with the scripts Brosnan got but I don't personally believe he played Bond in a limp-wristed weedy manner.

Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible

He even resigned from MI5, all because of his love for Vesper. You meant MI6. We may not see Pierce as Bond again, but hopefully Pierce will someday play the lead in another blockbuster action movie.....something like Sean Connery's The Rock.

Brosnan FAILED play it tough, and he seem try desperately to convince the audience that he look tough. He look ridiculous when he tried to. Brosnan supporters try desperately he can play tough with showing scenes with elektra, with hitting the bodyguard etc and don;t realised that the example they mention is showing how poor Brosnan's performance was. the fourth protocol??? ;D Tall, Dark, and Pretty boy face with limited acting skill Actor. that the Craighatters waiting for ;D

Thanks for the link. He does look like Brosnan. Can he act ? ! he doesn't need to act, because like craighatters ALWAYS said "It's easier for a handsome and suave man to play it tough than it is for an actor like Craig to play handsome and suave"

It's easier for a handsome and suave man to play it tough than it is for an actor like Craig to play handsome and suave. It's easier for an ACTOR who can ACT to play suave and tough than it is for an pretty boy actor Like Brosnan to play tough and grittier
