Ok......we're getting completely off-topic in this thread now. Poirot, where did we last talked about?

After Bond, I was hoping that Pierce would do what Sean did in his post-Bond career. It's good that Mamma Mia topped CR and QOS in terms of worldwide box office, but he deserves a better note.....one that will strike gold, not only excellent reviews but also huge box office returns as well, especially here in the US. He may not need these kind of work, but he total deserve it.

Bond may be behind him, but his action hero and blockbuster days aren't.

A few years ago, Brosnan was actually tipped to star in an adventure film called Burnt Sienna. The story is based on a novel (of the same title) by David Morell. I read the book because I thought it would be a great vehicle for Brosnan. The hero is an ex-Marine who spends his days painting (of course, Brosnan is an artist himself and would've identified with the character). Then he somehow gets involved with an arms dealer. It's an action-packed story and would've translated to the screen really well. Obviously, the project got shelved. Then again, maybe Brosnan still intends to make it with his Irish Dreamtime company.

www.thewrap.com/movies/column-post/exclusive-pierce-brosnan-set-get-bonded-son-sean-18699Exclusive: Pierce Brosnan Set to Get 'Bonded' With Son Sean By Jeff Sneider Published: June 23, 2010
EXCLUSIVE
Former James Bond franchise star Pierce Brosnan is set to co-star in the thriller "Bonded" with his son, Sean Brosnan, who will also produce.
Mo Ramchandani ("Devil's Creek") will direct from his own screenplay, which is based on true events that took place in El Monte, Calif. in the early '90s.
The "Oliver Twist"-esque story follows a Mexican teenager named Jesus who, after the death of his mother, is sold by his father and smuggled into America, where he's forced to work as a bonded slave laborer in a Los Angeles sweatshop.
While imprisoned there, he befriends a young woman named Elena. But when she is claimed by a sex trafficker, Jesus must make a daring escape in order to rescue her.
Ramchandani tells TheWrap that both Brosnans will be playing cops in the movie.
The filmmaker, who grew up in London with Sean Brosnan, is in the process of casting the male lead.
"I want to make movies that not only entertain people, but also empower, educate and inspire them," said Ramchandani, a principal of Avatar Entertainment Group.
Pierce Brosnan's Irish DreamTime and Beau St. Clair are expected to serve as executive producers on the project, which is scheduled to begin production in September.
Pierce Brosnan is represented by CAA, while Sean Brosnan is represented by Independent Talent Group and Alchemy Entertainment. This looks interesting.

London (ANI): For the first time, former James Bond 007 star Pierce Brosnan will team up with his actor son Sean for the big screen. Pierce, 57, will star in big-budget movie 'Bonded' alongside the 26-year-old. The duo will play police officers in pursuit of a Mexican teenager smuggled into the US as a sweatshop worker.
Mo Ramchandani, a childhood friend of Brosnan junior, will direct the actors, who are also the executive producers of the flick. "Pierce and Sean always said that they would find a project to work on together and this movie was seen as ideal. They have lots of screen time together, so it's going to be a very special film for both of them," the Daily Express quoted a source as telling.

Thomas Crown 2? What happened to that one? It's currently tied up with MGM.

Forget Thomas Crown 2. What about Tarantino and Pierce teaming up together to do an action blockbuster?

Thomas Crown is to be rebooted with Daniel Craig playing a young Thomas Crown on his first heist.

I think Pierce Brosnan should do an action film with Daniel Craig. That would be awesome. I saw a photo of the them together some time ago, so it looks like they're good friends. Also, it would be good exposure for Pierce to be in a movie with Daniel because lots of younger audiences that Daniel has captivated will get a chance to see Pierce.

I wouldn't mind seeing Pierce Brosnan in a war movie. I can picture him doing something like those war movies that Clint Eastwood directed a few years ago.

Also, it would be good exposure for Pierce to be in a movie with Daniel because lots of younger audiences that Daniel has captivated will get a chance to see Pierce. It's Pierce who is first captivated by the younger audience, not Daniel. And Pierce doesn't need him to be captivated for the third time (first and second being Steele and Bond, respectively); he can do that all by himself. However, it would be nice to see both of these actor doing a movie together if I must admit.
