How will Quantum Of Solcace do compared to Casino Royale (and Brosnan who had a string of successes)?
Will there be a dip in the US? Will the worldwide take be as large?
I think he will do the same as CR, but with a 10% dip in the US.

Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible

QOS better not take the top stop at the box office here in the US.

I think he will do the same as CR, but with a 10% dip in the US. I think worldwide it will generate more revenue, but admissions will be similar to CR. If it does not generate more revenue or admissions, questions will be asked of EON, especially given the general popularity of Craig and on the back of CR.

Sounds like QOS will be an action fest with a much bigger budget than CR. Seems that the producers are trying create an action film which rivals the big budget American action films. Add the massive cost of promoting the film and having to promote Craig again and it's clear that QOS will have to out gross CR. Anything less will be a disaster.

Great or not, QOS doesn't deserve to be # 1 at the US box office. I hope either Eastwood's The Changeling or Madagascar 2 would kick QOS's @$$ just like what Happy Feet did to CR.

The sophomore outing of a Bond actor typically sees a dip in box office. This is understandable, since the second film lacks the excitement that a new 007 usually generates.

The bad side is that EON's going to do anything to make QOS #1, especially here in the US.

The bad side is that EON's going to do anything to make QOS #1, especially here in the US. This just means more cash being shelled out for what is already a $230 million film. As Skywalker pointed out in a separate thread, this sequel should be able to sell itself. Instead, EON appears intent on another costly marketing campaign.

I've seen a remarkable number of stills and behind the scenes stuff from QOS given that it's only April.

Madagascar II will beat QOSTBM week afer week in the USA IMO, and it will NOT top CR in the USA either. Internationally, given the increased ticket prices, it should tie CR.

Great or not, I hope DC doesn't get more attention as Bond here in the US this time around.

In a way if QOS does underperform, and Bond goes down the toilet, dont tell me i should be pleased, i no i dont like Craig as Bond but the idea of James Bond coming to an end will seem very sad to me. They are already talking about taking a break after this one, is this the shape of things to come?

I could care less about DC and his Bond series of evil and corruption. Great or not, it's a good thing CR didn't get nominations from the Golden Globes and the Oscars.
